Jorge Vasquez
Owner & Head Instructor · Black BeltCoach Vasquez is a 1st Degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt and one of Grand Prairie's most accomplished Jiu-Jitsu instructors. His main focus is to help every student use the lessons of Jiu-Jitsu as a tool for personal development — to become better individuals and reach any goal they set for themselves. His own journey began in July 2012 at 18 years old under Professor Danny Alvarez out of Arlington, TX. Not long after stepping on the mats, he committed himself to the Jiu-Jitsu lifestyle and the goal of one day running his own academy. Coach Vasquez earned his Black Belt on July 11, 2020 at age 26 — promoted from white belt to Black solely under the tutelage of Professor Alvarez. He has never taken a significant amount of time off the mats since the beginning of his journey, a testament to his dedication to the craft.
